Was the Senate a Perfect Institution?
No one would ever argue that the senate was ever perfect, or even a fair institution. Its very na in having equal representation. Ironically, as i lay ot the book, james madison was opposed to this idea of equal representation. So he called it an injustice then, and that was at a time when virginia,. was ten times bigger than delaware. And so if he thought it was an injustice then giving those two states the same number of senators, he would certainly think its injustice now with wyoming 70 times bigger than virginia.
