This was an era when many of europe's monarchies crumbled. How much do you think that george and and queen mary can be credited with the survival of the british monarchy? Am, i think that obviously one factor that hugely helped thesurvival of the monarchy was the fact that we actually won the war. If britain had been defeated, it might all have been a very different story. But their positions were both weaker politically in their countries than the position of the king of england.
