The Importance of Remembering God's Mercy
Frida Ghitis: Jonah is angry at the city because he doesn't remember how compassion in God has been to him. She says we are just like Jonah, prone to relate to our city in terms of selfishness. But guess what? The God who ran after Jonah is still running after people today, she says. Ghitis: We'll only be a people who show compassion if we realize that we've been shown compassion by none other than God himself.
