How to Evaluate a Patient for Nephrostomy
It all comes down to the patient's condition, as well as comorbidities and things like that. I think you have a hypotensive patient who's tachycardic and high temp and obstructed. I think this is a patient that's going to benefit from a nephrostomy tube. But what we run into a lot is a patient who's kind of not hugely sick but not well. That's really where you kind of get into the decision of who's at best to serve this patient.
