Howard Kurtz: What inning is this? People ask you that question and you you hate that question. Right now, I say I think we're in the eighth inning. The only trouble is I've been saying the eighth inning for a couple of years now. Most events are cyclical and trees don't grow to this guy and very little goes to zero. He says most people realize it can't go well forever, but he can't imagine what's going to make it come to an end.
