Are We Going to Have a New Energy Strategy?
Prices of gas and oil were already going through the roof even before the invasion. New energy stratgy being drawn up by borris johnson, with input from treasury in n bays. But none of those things can you de at the drop of a hat. And now a wind, at least when the wind is blowing, is by far the cheapest energy source we have in the u k. It's not an abandonment of net zero at all. The other option is trying to tax our production in the north sea - but that has just been ruled out as there isn't enough money for it.
