The Statute of Laborers
This is where only 30 odd years after the full impact of the Black death and the terrible toll on human life that cause some people say up to half the population are killed by this. It's also it's very hard to prove any of this we see because all of these contracts. There are no written contracts at this time. It's all verbal contracts. And in a lot of these instances, it simply comes down to statements of fact. The ideas around the enforcement of the statute of laborers are very much a part of that wider national conflict as well.
