Why the British Monarchy Survived the First World War?
It's a very interesting question as to why the british monarchy survived the first world war when so many others didn't. I think with there the sort of two key things that matter here. The anti monarchism starts well before defeat. And how a monarchy is handling the war, how they're behaving, is key in whether that anti monarchism really explodes and develops into a mass movement or remains at the fringes.
