What Is the Process of Having the Prints
They would use different types of pens that ones that might make a kind of dotted pattern, or they might start cross hatching. And then this plate would be inked. So they'd fill it with ink, and then they would place a damp piece of paper on top to reveal the print. Another way is that they would cover the metal plates with what they'd call a wax ground. Then they would scrape away this wax ground to leave an image,. A day later, Gil Ray has made a print which is obviously influenced by that.
