Monica Deval on Twitter has asked how other people saw the romantics at the time. Is asked were they respected, mocked or ostracised? But it definitely weren't really respected. There's a lot of ostracisation that goes on by her and is driven out of England in 1816. So when did their work then become beloved and popular and respected? For Wordsworth it happens in his lifetime. By 1850 Wordsworth is the one of the grand old men of English letters. He's made poet laureate. For Shelley not really until after he dies, similarly for Keats.
