I Shot Andy Warhol was your first film. What brought you from journalism to filmmaking? Well, it was a gradual thing because even when I was young and so in my early 20s, and I sort of fell into writing about music. And that's when I discovered got the idea of we doing a film about Valerie Solanus. It took me years.
