'I didn't know what it was that could support these quantm coherent things in the brain, i thought, by the time i've written the book, maybe i will have found out,' he says. 'But then stuart wrote to me out of the blue, and i saw these little tubes. What the hell are they? You see? Wel, they've pictures.' He adds: 'It seemed to me there was a much better chance of preserving some kind of coherent even then a stretch of the imagination from what people knew about but since i believe they had to preserved quantam coherence in some sense, this was a far better bet than anything i had seen before'
