Treatment of Rheumatoid Nodules and Ulnar Drift at the MCP Joint
Treatment of rheumatoid nodules can be non-operative or operative. Non-operative management includes steroid injection, and operative management includes surgical excision. Ulnar drift at the MCP joint is a volor subluxation associated with ulnar drifting of the digits. An MCP arthroplasty is indicated for late disease, thumb MCP involvement, plus thumb IP involvement.
