The opposite of sensitivity is not high sensation seeking it is impulsivity but nevertheless when you've reached the end of your rope you have gotten there and some children will figure out how to get their parent at that point. I recommend a book to parents to highly sensitive parents because I have useful knowledge in them but they've come back to me feeling I'm such a bad parent.
