The Origins of the Holy City in the Old Testament

In the Psalms and prophets, Zion or Jerusalem is described with Eden-like terminology. The place where Jesus was crucified is called Golgotha which means the place of Adam's skull. So when God comes to grant us salvation, he accomplishes this within the geographical boundaries of where everything started. He dies at Jerusalem, right outside Jerusalem. And that's a lot to put out there, hopefully it was making sense.
