I don't think most people set out for their undergraduate degree thinking like this is going to be the worst four years of my life. I also think that the culture itself fosters this idea that it is something that is incredibly stressful. You know, if you really hate an ultra competitive culture, maybe that's not a great fit to go to an ultra competitive law school where there's a lot of competition between the students or commuter law schools. Some people really want a community and some law schools, people drive into campus and then drive out and live somewhere far away.
