Buying a Home - Is That Really Your Goal?
When you're not on a huge income it feels like an insurmountable task to be putting aside a proportion of a really small salary. I think my partner and I at the time didn't have a huge lifestyle expense so we were lucky enough that we were able to sort of scrape together enough money for a deposit. We bought our first property which was a two bedroom apartment in Fitzroy for $390,000. You couldn't even probably get a one bedroom at that price these days.
