The Importance of Bats in Human Health
Richard is from the University of Ghana. After feeding the bats poor poor, he and his team are testing splodges of bright orange bat poo to check for pathogens. So why do bats matter so much to human health? They have all these viruses but they never get sick from them. And I think that’s one reason why it's difficult for scientists to detect some of these andotic diseases in bats before they spill over into other species.
