Would Flogging Kill You?

I'm not convinced that flogging is meant to be a death sentence. The navy on the surface of things seems much more lenient because they issue dozens of lashes, not hundreds of lashes. There are all kinds of questions about the relativity in terms of how much of an impact would this have on your body. But it doesn't really matter quite how small the whip is or what it's made out of. 1200 lashes is going to wreak havoc onYour body. Yeah, God. I think we should jump to that. It sounds like the punishment for soldiers in the army is essentially public, corporal, physical pain inflicted. Does that basically summarize what goes on?
