The streets are full, above all, with people doing things, being busy. The street is not thi single conjuit to get from to be. It is somewhere to spend the whole day in. And so we can take our time, we can loiter,. We can get out, we can get our meal there. Deckenzie do dickens himself is is better than some others, because he has had a tiny bit of experience ot this kind of thing and above all, he has some compassion as a writer. Maybe the single biggest misconception we get is this idea, which is centuries old, of people who are sturdy beggars.
