Sally Kohn says rumination is a habit we can break. It's when we just can't get that thing out of our head and we keep thinking about it. We're releasing all these stress hormones into our bodies, putting ourselves at risk for cardiovascular disease. People who ruminate as a habit are at a much higherrisk for cardiovascular disease than those who don't. And secondly, we're really impairing our ability to problem solve by going around in this emotional hamster wheel.
