Introduction
Ankle arthordesis is the fusion of the tibio tailor joint most commonly performed for end stage arthritis. The optimal position will be neutral dorsiflexia infection, 5 to 10 degrees of external rotation and 5 millimeters of posterior tailar translation. Indications include neuropathic arthropathy, tumor resection, salvage for failed ORIF and salvage for failed total ankle arthordelasty.
