The Human Brain and Its Foundations in Subcortical Arousal Systems
The aim of the book is to understand how our mind works in a way where concepts are not totally divorced from feelings, but actually come from feelings. So i think if we looked at our natural philosophy, another way to describe that is an anatomically correct philosophy, werethy human brain has its foundations in sub cortical arousal systems and alimbic emotional systems. This is the toolkit that we have to organize concepts and decisions and adjudgments. And so really, once we look at the anatomy and we understand a the human experience coming from more basic vertebrate anatomical structures, then we have acount of a scientific tool kit to appreciate the wholism of the human mind.
