Oppenheimer and the Security Council Hearing
In 1954, Robert Oppenheimer was forced to testify before a security council hearing on nuclear weapons. He argued with his friend Albert Einstein that he should walk away from the hearing and not have anything to do with this witch hunt. In recent years, we've gone through with same kind of anti-intellectualism that prevailed at the height of the McCarthy era,. And so it's a very timely, relevant story about what happened to him in 1954.
