The Importance of Learning One Language Well
You may have spent a lot of time studying Japanese and not want to give it up. But that's not to say you haven't learnt a huge amount in the process. You become a better language learner by learning one language properly. The other thing is a language is never lost, and this is something that my friend Richard Simcott talked about previously,. It's all cumulative, all the different study that we do in different languages. All adds up into this big pool of resources at our disposal.
