The Importance of Negotiating With the IRS
I was doing what professionals told me to do to minimize my tax obligation. But the IRS would never listen to that viewpoint and negotiate prior to going to trial, never ever ever. They finally had a realization and trial that they couldn't win the case. And so in the third day of trial, they said, we could see him texting back and forth to Washington DC. It's very difficult when you know you're doing the right thing but really know the government is overreaching.
