The Importance of Integrating Data Infrastructures
In New Zealand, what they'd been pursuing was integration for research. But it still doesn't mean that if a child comes into my office as a child protection worker, I can go find out whether the child has truancy history or has any behavioral health diagnoses. It's completely different. So we have never had that conversation in New Zealand about what we want to allow our child welfare workers to see in terms of other system involvement. And so I don't think we'll ever get to the point of Allegheny. Like in LA and Colorado, the data we use is just what the child welfare worker can see. We've always had a principle that we only use in the predictivist model
