The Importance of Allegorical Meaning in Parables
The parables in the gospels are much more allegorical than is usually acknowledged. Many parables probably make more than one main point, according to Blomberg. One noted writer has argued for seeing a theological cluster of points in each passage. But we need to be open to allegorical meaning in the parables, but we don't want to go too far.
