Version Control vs Build?
I think in the version control space it was very obvious like, oh, we didn't have atomic commits for multiple files at once and we ran into problems with those race conditions. With the build system and reproducibility and hermaticity sort of properties, I somehow is less obvious that that is a thing that the build system can and should be doing. If we accept the model that you're build should be hermetic and should be reproducible, this is very good for the organization as a whole. There is a ground truth and also most people are going to experience the ground truth by default.
