Ron DeSantis beat Democrat Charlie Christ by nearly 19 points in Florida governor's race. The victory was a coming out party for DeSantis, who has been wary of talking about anything other than re-election. He won narrowly four years ago, but his margin Tuesday will garner enormous attention among Republicans desperate for an alternative to Trump. Donald Trump also probably aimed to reduce DeSantis's margin of victory and thus reduce the threat to himself for the GOP nomination.
