The Politics of Trump's Indictment

President Nixon was pardoned by President Ford in September of 1974, an act for which Ford was excoriated. There's rethinking about this now because we have not held presidents and former presidents legally accountable as arguably a democracy should. And so the question we have now is what is the political effect of yet another potential indictment? What are the mechanics of going forward here?
