The Nuba Mountains and the Second Civil War

The Nuba Mountains factored into the second civil war, which was fought between roughly 1983 and 2005. The South felt disenfranchised economically because there really was nothing put into the South in regard to an infrastructure that would help the people with their livelihoods. And so basically they were demanding these basic rights. And the government of Sudan pretty much ignored them.
