What Is a Data Broker?
A data broker is a company whose entire business model is secretly buying and sharing and selling data. Some data brokers have access to what they will call first party data, so data they do in fact collect directly. An oracle is a great example of a company that has spent millions of dollars buying up other companies that do directly get access to the data. There's different kinds ofaa ments, but it's oftentimes not stuff they collect directly. And that's part of their marketing pitch, is that we're aggregating data across many different sources. And packaging it together.
