The Big Debate on Free Speech Is Our Bad Ideas Pathogens

I am less convinced that reading things online is the determining factor in making somebody take illegal actions. I have friends that are full blown conspiracy theorists and I absolutely want to know what they're thinking because I want to have my finger on the radar. But there are a lot of people who think no ideas are pathogens. They work like viruses and they must be lanced, less they infect the body politic. That quickly becomes restrictionism authoritarian. And then we are more shocked when they when they pop up in front of us.
