i was offered the possibility of working on a research unit that had been set up just then, or was just being set up, in lee's university. And this was a project for the study of the impact of television on british society. So i was not seeking to do that, although i had always been interested in film. But it did involve applying skill so well, data collectionand experimentation and sovas an analysis and all f which appealed to me very much.
