The Beginning of Faith
i think they made a mistake, which was that they tried to rebuild what they were trying to rebuild. They never quite made the connection between what they had discovered and the basis of their faith. I don't think anybody ever really connects with what he's doing in the moment that he's doing it. It was easy to shunt them aside. Science is a great blessing, as they knew. And matter is a very powerful thing, you know. To get beyond them, to the meaning of those things, it is a work. You have to do through poetry, through meditation, through prayer,. Through all the things that people do to connect with the life as it is.
