Are They Aware of How Close We Could Be These Days?
The Fed has a dual mandate, growth and inflation. Their policies operate profoundly on asset prices. And very unprofoundly on inflation. Now, are they aware of how close we could be these days? Yes and no. But I think if we learn one thing about episodes of crisis is that the market prices can become beasts that you really struggle to put back in the box.
