You have to accept terms, which means your printer could be blocked from using non-HP inks. I think my rule of thumb is the cheaper the printer is, probably the more expensive it's going to cost to run generally. You can pay a lot, lot more for some printers that are, you know, on a per page basis anyway, much cheaper to print.
