To be a physician you had to complete university, post graduate education in medicine. So all physicians did a humanity's degree to make sure that they had got a good working knowledge of classical texts. But then they would do post graduate medical studies, and that would involve studying ancient texts such as hippocrates or aristotle. There were mistaken ideas in there that kept being repeated er. They thethethe theories about em women's bodies well and men's bodies went back to ancient times.
