There's a creeping sense of dread and like what Virginia Woolf writes about, for example. This is not kind of an invitation for them to just give up and withdraw from the world because it's also awful. And so they're, you know, these are women who are living through really dark times, but in a sense, it kind of galvanizes them and it gives their lives a kind of clarity.
