The Impact of ACL Injury on Women's Football

Baroness Su Campbell is Director of Women's Football at the FA in England. There has been more media attention on ACL leg injuries recently as some of the top players sadly have had to drop out of tournaments. Interior cruciate ligament injury occurs when the ACL is stretched partly torn or completely torn. Dr Kat Okamkreiger, an academic and medical researcher at FIFA explains why these injuries are increasing.
