The Sociological Perspective on Violence

Violence can take a whole host of different forms like Penn was talking about, right? And it can also just be seemingly harmless. I think there's a lot of how workplace violence is often seen. It's kind of the violence that we think about in the day to day. So this is one individual against another individual or small groups of people attacking other groups of people. At the meso level, we can look at what we think of as collective violence. One example could be one football club versus another football club full of hooligans who fight it out at matches. These are large groups of people who are dispersed largely but their violence that is enacted is based off of group interactions
