The Importance of Railways in India

One of our listeners on instagram has asked which country or countries benefited most from the introduction of railways. I'd say there isn't the country that I didn't benefit it from it but countries without railways kind of suffered greatly. South America has not built a lot of railways and I think that was one real problem for their economies. The railways in India is absolutely symbiotic and the railways were enormously instrumental in enabling India to hold together as a nation.
