When I was in my 5th year of primary school my dad got a new job as a chef in a hotel. The hotel the Red Lion was reportedly haunted by the spirit of a maid. Guests would report knocking on their doors answering said door to be met by no one and occasionally they would hear footsteps walking or running away. Another story from around the same time happened when my parents were viewing houses in the Midlands before our move.
