Introduction
Donald Trump was indicted for crimes committed while he was in office. The first charges that tie him and his top aides and lawyers to January 6th itself. We don't know if this case will result in the conviction of Donald Trump, or do so before the election. He is legally presumed innocent. And prosecutors could charge someone with very basic evidence and then leave the wider story until trial.
