A company called FTX spent millions of dollars lobbying for crypto friendly regulation and donated again what we in the business call a shit ton of money to elected officials and candidates. It ended being about 28 million, which is less than they thought they were going to spend on these campaigns. But yeah, about 28 million and Bangwyn Fried made connections with people in progressive politics. And then one race in Oregon that was a long shot where they ended up losing. They're not wrong. I think in retrospect, it would have been until embarrassing with like questions about where the money came from,. but then they would still have a majority.
