There are things within the First Amendment that let us make distinctions. And you know, community standards, obscenity, all of these sorts of things. But don't forget Gavin Newsom signs into law a ban on doctors being able to talk about COVID in a way that leaves the contemporary scientific consensus. Ron DeSantis and Greg Abbott both sign laws that say that social media companies have to platform whatever speech there can be no limits. So I am troubled by arguments that presume everybody is an idiot. It's not that everyone's an idiot; it's that they're not as protective of my rights as I am.
