What Is the Practical Syllogism?
In your second chapter of ethics of computer gaming, you introduce a very exciting thing. It's called syllogism. And at first glance, the practical syllogism is basically structured like a logical deduction. But a key difference lies in the way we reach the conclusion. Forming an action is clearly different from reaching a logical conclusion. We weigh our possibilities and their consequences before we decide what to do. With this structure in mind, we can easily analyze actions we perform while playing games. After all, play actions resemble real actions in the formal structure that consist of will, body movement and action.
