I was meeting with Slaboy regularly in New York when he would come there to give talks. And at those events, they were in small art galleries with just a handful of people attending. He hadn't yet really achieved this degree of public visibility that it was after 9-11. At that point, you had just huge crowds that had to be dispersed by the police,. et cetera, waiting to get in to see him.
