The Mercy of God in the Old Testament

I like that he doesn't say I have two nations in your womb. One of these guys is going to be amazing, the other one's a real bummer and you know what I hate him already. It's like it's like God's choice doesn't depend on how good or bad the person is. Paul reads the Old Testament as if this story is about salvation by grace through faith for the sake of Christ. That's what the story is always about because God is always choosing according to mercies acting according to grace before these boys.
